KUALA LUMPUR, 2O NOVEMBER 2025 – The Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) today celebrated a significant milestone for Sarawak’s social innovation sector as four Sarawak-based social enterprises it nominated secured four major accolades at the inaugural Malaysia Social Enterprise Awards (MySEA) 2025. The ceremony was held at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Kuala Lumpur.

The triumph underscores the strength, diversity, and maturity of Sarawak’s fast-growing social enterprise landscape. The four winning enterprises are.

  • Heart Treasures Sdn Bhd – Winner, Emerging Award for Social Concern & Innovation
  • Fly Technology Agriculture Sdn Bhd – Winner, Excellence Award for Social & Environmental Sustainability
  • Tanoti – Winner, Excellence Award for Cultural Heritage & Legacy
  • Tuyang & Heart Initiative – Winner, Emerging Award for Cultural Heritage & Legacy.

These achievements demonstrate how Sarawakian social enterprises are increasingly standing out nationally through innovation, community-driven missions, and sustainable impact. All four winners have been supported by SDEC through various capacity-building programmes, collaborative projects, and access to networks, including initiatives such as SEHebat Catalyst, the Digital Village Accelerator (DiVA), and other strategic partnerships.

“We are incredibly proud of Heart Treasures, Fly Technology Agriculture, Tanoti, and Tuyang & Heart Initiative. To see four of our nominated Sarawakian champions recognised at the very first MySEA is a powerful testament to the vibrant and impactful ecosystem we are building. This achievement is not an accident; it is a direct result of the concerted efforts under the Sarawak Digital Economy Blueprint 2030 and the SEHebat Sarawak Blueprint to create a supportive environment where innovation and social purpose can thrive.” said Dato Ir. Ts. Sudarnoto Osman, CEO of SDEC.

“The increased visibility and success of our social enterprises on the national stage is a key measure of a healthy, supportive digital ecosystem in Sarawak. SDEC remains committed to being the catalyst that equips these enterprises with digital and innovation tools, market access, and strategic advocacy to scale their impact and position Sarawak as a leading hub for social innovation.” he added.

The Malaysia Social Enterprise Awards 2025, organised by the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development (KUSKOP) and the National Entrepreneurship Institute (INSKEN), was introduced to recognise outstanding social enterprises that deliver significant economic, social, environmental, and cultural impact, in alignment with the national Social Entrepreneurship Blueprint 2030 (SEMy2030).

This landmark achievement marks an important chapter in Sarawak’s rise as a national leader in social innovation. It demonstrates how state-level support, combined with grassroots creativity, can produce competitive enterprises that uplift communities while preserving Sarawak’s cultural and environmental heritage.
