KUALA LUMPUR, 13 AUGUST 2024 – Digital Village Accelerator (DiVA) is a flagship accelerator programme by Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) to accelerate the growth of Sarawak Technology Startups and Scaleups.
Today, DiVA proudly showcased its Top 6 startups for Cohort 3. These innovative ventures have showcased remarkable potential, embodying the spirit of technological advancement and entrepreneurial excellence.
Here are the Top 6 Startups for Digital Village Accelerator (DiVA):
- Fly Technology Agriculture Sdn Bhd – A social enterprise utilising black soldier fly larvae to convert organic waste into sustainable solutions through automated vertical insect farming.
- Belibeli Super App – Subscription-based super app involving delivery, e-hailing, online mall, and on-demand services.
- MyScripts – MyScripts is developing MyScriptsOS for different community pharmacies and end-users to improve medication management.
- Satok Bridge – An AI and IoT startup awarded the GajahSafe project in 2022 to use AI for safely deterring elephants from farms, and they aim to replicate this success with our proposed Smart Cashier System for DiVA.
- FORMETA PLT – A startup company from University of Technology Sarawak (UTS), focusing on drone, AI, IoT, Blockchain, and STEM Training.
- Nebula – Nebula is a cloud gaming platform that allows users to play the latest games on any device by streaming from remote gaming computers, similar to Netflix for gaming.
Participating startups have undergone a rigorous 5-month programme, receiving invaluable support including grants, mentorships, market access, master classes, and auxiliary support for their growth journey. DiVA’s emphasis on revenue generation, market expansion, and investment potential has empowered these startups to thrive in the dynamic landscape of technology entrepreneurship.
Among the highlights of the programme is the collaboration with NEXEA, DiVA’s official Accelerator Partner, providing startups with access to up to RM2,000,000 worth of beneficial resources. Through this partnership, startups have leveraged essential support to propel their ventures forward and accelerate their growth trajectory.
SDEC Chief Executive Officer Ir. Ts. Sudarnoto Osman commented that as the curtains draw on another successful edition of DiVA, SDEC extends its heartfelt congratulations to the top 6 startups for their outstanding achievements.
