KUCHING, 17 OCTOBER 2024 – In a strategic collaboration aimed at accelerating digital transformation across Southeast Asia, Dynamik Technologies Sdn Bhd (Dynamik) and Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This partnership will drive the digital economy in both Sarawak and Brunei, fostering cross-border collaboration and innovation throughout Borneo.
Haslina Taib, Chief Executive Officer of Dynamik Technologies and Co-Chair of the Borneo Economic Community, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, “The signing of this MoU signifies the first step of joining cross-border forces to develop digital talents and data collaboration programs for the benefit of not only Sarawak and Brunei, but also Borneo and ASEAN. Both these resources in skilled talents and meaningful insights are critical elements in developing transformation projects in the region and building Borneo as a Green Economy Hub and strategic investment destination of choice.”
The MoU was signed by Haslina Taib, Chief Executive Officer of Dynamik Technologies and Co-Chair of the Borneo Economic Community, and Dato Ir. Ts. Sudarnoto Osman, CEO of Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation Berhad, witnessed by YB Dato Sri Roland Sagah Wee Inn, Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Sarawak, at the International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak 2024 (IDECS 2024) held in Kuching, Sarawak.
As the Lead Implementation Partner for the Borneo Economic Community (BEC), Dynamik will collaborate with SDEC on key areas such as technology adoption, talent development, and capacity building in data analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to develop the region’s technology talent and harness data-driven solutions for the benefit of Borneo. Dynamik and SDEC together recognize the importance of having resources, expertise, and knowledge-sharing frameworks to support project development and execution. By nurturing digital talent and empowering businesses with the required tools, this partnership is set to unlock the full potential of Borneo’s digital economy.
Dynamik’s KARYADI platform, is designed to address the digital needs of businesses through low code solutions that specialises in capacity building with low code training, certification and digital talent outsourcing services. Additionally, KARYADI offers business digitalisation consulting services and access to a comprehensive repository of low code solutions designed to streamline and accelerate development processes in support of the Borneo territories’ Digital Economy Masterplans and Blueprints. Complementing this, the TENUN platform will serve as a regional knowledge hub for data analytics and AI, benefiting both professionals and the wider community in Borneo, fostering collaboration on data-driven digital transformation projects. These platforms will play a key role in fostering technology-driven innovation and creating sustainable growth opportunities.
The MoU also emphasizes strengthening cross-border business networks, connecting companies, innovators, and institutions from both Sarawak and Brunei. Programs such as low code training, digital talent outsourcing, and knowledge commercialization will ensure that both regions have the resources and capacity to meet the demands of the growing digital economy.
This partnership is particularly focused on supporting startups, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and innovators by facilitating technology and skills transfer. The collaboration will foster advancements in data analytics and AI, aligned with the Sarawak Digital & Innovation Ecosystem (SDIE) and BEC initiatives.
During the working visit, Dynamik Technologies has also engaged with key stakeholders, including Timothy Ong, CEO of InvestSarawak, and Mr. Prestly Ng, President and CEO of Regenerative X Association, to explore further initiatives aimed at creating lasting economic and technological value.
