KUCHING, 16 DECEMBER 2024<\/strong> \u2013 Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC), in collaboration with local creative partners and production house, presented a selection of animations that highlighted Sarawak’s cultural heritage and creative talents at The World We Weave Festival last week. The festival was organised by Harapan Anak Urang Sarawak Sdn Bhd (HAUS KCH) from 13 to 15 December 2024 at Pustaka Negeri Sarawak. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Borih: The Bidayuh Paddy Priestess <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Produced by Flystudio and presented by Passionate World Sdn Bhd, Borih<\/em> brings to life the captivating and untold story of Ngomak, a revered Bidayuh paddy priestess whose spiritual journey is deeply intertwined with love and sacrifice. This animation, a heartfelt tribute to the Bidayuh culture, is made possible through the financial support of Kementerian Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), and the Sarawak Animation Incubation Programme – an initiative by Ventura Interactive Sdn Bhd, SDEC, and Sarawak Digital. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Created by Creatvtoon Studio, The Pillar of Strength is an inspiring animation that captures Sarawak\u2019s spirit of resilience and unity through the cinematic universe of Rentap, the legendary Iban-Dayak warrior. Offering an emotional tale of identity, family and unity, The Pillar of Strength is supported by Kementerian Komunikasi dan Multimedia Malaysia, MDEC, SDEC, and Sarawak Digital, with Toon Boom providing software sponsorship and Ventura Interactive serving as the production partner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baram Bunch: Story Hunters <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A story about four kids who collect local stories in the interiors of Sarawak. A heartwarming collaboration between Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA), TVS, SDEC, and Sarawak Digital, Baram Bunch is produced by the School of Design & Arts at Swinburne University.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
