KUCHING, 21 OCTOBER 2025 – The International Digital Economy Conference Sarawak 2025 (IDECS25) is set to unveil the Digital Art Gallery 2025 (DAG25): AI Artventure, a first-of-its-kind showcase that merges creativity, education, and artificial intelligence (AI). The AI technology exhibition, enabled by Crave Asia Sdn Bhd, will run from 22 to 26 October 2025, at Balai Rong Hall, Makeramai Makerspace, Plaza Merdeka, Kuching.

DAG25 will spotlight the creativity of Sarawak’s school students, whose original artworks will be reimagined by AI into vibrant visual displays. These evolving pieces will appear on a five-metre interactive digital wall, giving visitors an immersive experience at the intersection of art and technology.
“DAG25 is not just about showcasing art; it is about showing the world what Sarawak stands for. By bringing together the imagination of our youth and the power of AI, we are proving that technology can be inclusive, inspiring, and transformative. This exhibition is a statement of our commitment to nurturing digital talent from the ground up and positioning Sarawak as a regional leader in creativity, innovation, and sustainable digital growth,” said Amirrul Rizwan Mohd Abd Hafiz, Lead Secretariat of IDECS25.

Open to all students and the public, the AI Artventure Competition invites young creators to submit their “Green Planet” themed artworks, which will be transformed by AI and displayed on the interactive digital wall. Each piece will display the student’s name and school, turning the gallery into a living showcase of imagination and innovation.
Participants stand a chance to win prizes worth RM15,000, sponsored by Wonderpark, including a 65” Interactive iBoard for the school with the most entries and iPads for students with the most creative AI artworks. Every student participant will also receive an e-certificate and a digital copy of their AI-generated piece. Members of the public who join the competition are also eligible to win an iPad.
During the five-day exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to explore four hands-on STEAM zones designed to spark curiosity:
- Art Zone – Drawing & colouring.
- Engineering Zone – Magnetic blocks.
- Construction Zone – Lego building.
- Craft Zone – Beadwork & creative crafts.
Beyond the exhibition, visitors can also look forward to the Makeramai Playzone. Housed within Makeramai Makerspace, a creative hub by the Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC) at Plaza Merdeka, this interactive break space is where creativity meets play. The playzone will feature a Nintendo Switch area, a Virtual Reality (VR) experience, and a 3D Pen activity, offering visitors a light, playful glimpse of how technology sparks creativity.

By merging art, AI, and education, DAG25 reflects Sarawak’s vision of shaping a future-ready digital society. The exhibition is free and open to all, offering communities the chance to experience how technology can spark creativity and inspire innovation.
